Support Worker requirements

Ablepoint Australia strives to match the support worker’s characteristics to the individual’s needs. Our carers possess a diverse set of skills, experience, training, and personal characteristics.

Our caregivers must have at the very least:

  • NDIS Worker Background Check (this includes a police check, working with children check).
  • CPR and a current first-aid certificate are required.
  • Work-related experience is required.
  • Completed the Covid-19 infection control training module.
  • For each support worker that works for our organisation, a minimum of two professional references have been completed.
Many support workers have or are working towards a credential in their chosen sector, such as a Certificate III, IV, Diploma, or Bachelor’s degree in Disability Care, Community Care and Services, Aged Care, education, or another comparable topic. Many members of our team have worked in nursing, disability, mental health services, and specialised care areas such as MND training, Autism, MS Multiple Sclerosis, 24/7 care, Dementia, and intellectual and physical disabilities.
We need individuals who are enthusiastic about collaborating with others, sensitive to the needs of people with disabilities, dependable, experienced, and committed. We assist people all across Sydney, and while having a car is convenient, it is not required for many jobs where public transportation is available.
